• It is illegal to consume cannabis in public, near schools, in vehicles, or on federal land.

Transportation Guidelines

• Cannabis must be in a sealed, child-resistant container while being transported.
• It cannot be accessible to anyone inside the vehicle.

Why Illinois Won’t Allow Cannabis Delivery (Yet)

I’d love to be optimistic that Illinois will wake up and realize that cannabis delivery is not some radical idea—but deep down, I know better. The same leaders who made us wait years just to get recreational weed are now dragging their feet on delivery.

The Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act (CRTA) and the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Program Act don’t even mention delivery, and lawmakers seem in no rush to change that.
